The "WHY" Behind My Coaching

I grew up in a Christian home and was educated in the Christian school system through high school. From a very young age I loved to learn AND I wanted to be known as a “good” Christian. I studied hard, made good grades, followed the script and never strayed. When I went off to college I married the “good” Christian guy and simultaneously earned two science degrees. 

My big WHY was to have the "good" life. I never expected things to be perfect but I totally believed that spiritual AND scientific laws and principles were the road to success. 

We achieved a lot of success. Life was good — not easy.  It was hard when I moved far from my home state to support my husband's career. Each move meant we had to find a new community -- a new home, a new grocery, new friends, and always a new church. Faith was a critical part of our lives. And we were faithful. We attended church weekly, raised our family with good Christian values, sang in the choir together and often held Bible studies in our home.  

Then one night, four decades later, I woke in the middle of the night with my heart racing. I jumped out of bed to shake it off, and as I walked around the bedroom trying to catch my breath an idea popped into my head: Go check his cell phone. I never once had that idea. It shocked me. 

I tell the full story in my book but two years later, my 44-year "good Christian marriage" was gone. So confused as to how this could happen to two people who devoted their lives knowing God and making Him known I went back to my Biology roots to get some answers. It created a “mad scientist” out of me. The more I read, the more I became obsessed. I often found myself up past midnight trying to understand words like quantum dot, zero point, scalar energy, Schuman resonance – physics words to describe HOW our Minds and Bodies interact with Light. My initial reaction was skeptical, to say the least. So I became my own science experiment to prove physics wrong. It proved me wrong. The Intelligence of Light left me in shock and awe. It strengthened my faith, gave me a deeper sense of peace and changed my life in ways I could never have scripted.

I used the research to transform the parts of my personality driven by fear, moved on, and built a new life driven by the values I love. When people asked me how I was achieving fun adventures, great relationships and enough money and time to do the things I loved to do, I eagerly shared the science. But most found it confusing, not inspiring. To better relate, I became certified as a Life Coach and went on to become a published author, a retreat leader, a public speaker, a podcast guest ..and more. That's not to impress you but to impress upon you that we are far more powerful than we were ever led to believe and we have far more potential than we could ever dream possible.  

Life is happening through us, not to us.
